Studio 50 Designed was retained by Liberty Engineering and W.E. Bowers as Project Architect. We were part of the Design-Build Team tasked with providing a permit drawings to support the master planning of various existing warehouses in Virginia for their conversion into data centers.  This project included alteration for architectural, MEP, Civil, and structural disciplines. The build-outs included individual Data Areas which typically were 10,000 SF to house 240 to 320, 8KW racks.

Ashburn B2 Data Center Feasibility Study*
Ashburn, VA

Studio 50 Design was retained by Liberty Engineering as Project Architect for a feasibility study for a tenant fit-out that included two floors of a Tier III Data Center, and supporting infrastructure and two floors of administrative space for a total of 32,000 SF.  Deliverables included a report with modifications to the client's existing scope, identification of the utility infrastructure upgrades and available system capacity, identification of locations for exterior engineering equipment (generators and chillers), and a schematic floor plan to identify total equipment rack count for data center.

Non-Profit Medical Data Center Upgrade*

Liberty Engineering retained Studio 50 Design to provide architectural support services for the accessibility and fire protection for design upgrades to an existing data center.  HVAC support systems were also upgraded.
